How long
will the carpet take to dry?
The carpet only takes 2-6 hrs to dry; it depends on the temperature both
inside and outside. If it’s hot outside, then opening the
windows will facilitate a quicker drying time. If it is cold and rainy outside, crack
open windows and turn the heater between 75-80 degrees. The carpets will dry just as
quickly.
What types
of cleaning process do you clean with?
We steam clean carpets. We have high-powered truck-mounted equipment
where we bring hoses in from outside. We also have the capability to
perform a dual-cleaning process. We recommend dual-cleaning when carpets are heavily soiled.
For this method we spray the carpet, bring in a machine with a thick brush, and
scrub the carpet. Then we go back through and steam clean the carpet
to remove the
dirt.
How many
times should we clean our carpet each year?
This depends on the level of foot traffic in your home, but we generally
recommend twice a year. The cleaning frequency does not damage the
carpet. If you have minimal foot traffic, then once would likely be
sufficient, but we don't recommend waiting longer than that. The dirt
inside your carpet
will actually wear the carpet fibers down, creating a gray area that
cannot be
removed.
What kind
of chemicals do you clean with?
We only clean with biodegradable chemicals. Based on our experience, we
cannot complete a comprehensive clean with only one or two types of
chemicals; different stains require different chemicals for the most
effective removal.
Do you
give a guarantee with your cleaning?
Yes! We offer a 30-day guarantee for our work. However, if one of
our technicians
comes to your home, inspects the job, and recommends something that you decide you don’t want,
then we will have you sign a record indicating that our work is not
guaranteed. Otherwise, our work will be covered under our standard
30-day guarantee.
Does
scotch guard really work?
Yes! But you have to work with it. Scotch guard essentially
"protects" your carpet for between five and 10 minutes, which
should give you sufficient time to get a damp cloth and begin the
cleaning process. As soon as you return with a damp cloth, blot the
spot. DO NOT RUB THE SPOT INTO CARPET. Then take a dry towel and continue to blot
the spot until area is dry. This will prevent dirt in the air
accumulating on
the damp carpet.
How often should I vacuum my carpet?
If you have time, vacuum every day, but we recommend at least three times
each week. Even though you cannot see it, a layer
of dirt will continue to accumulate on your carpet. In addition, if your vacuum
includes a
bag, check it regularly. It can fill up more quickly than you might
realize..
